Profile of our Managing Partner

Michael Pang is currently a Managing Partner with Six Sigma Mind Consulting. He was the Corporate Management Director of a local MNC before forming his current company.

He was formerly a Director with the Singapore National Employers Federation, in-charge of the Centre for Excellent Organizations. More than 3,000 executives at all levels attended his seminars on Singapore Quality Award related programs. He helped four organizations attained the Singapore Quality Class Award. He is an advocate of building a Learning Organisation. Michael was invited repeatedly by the NTUC to address their unionists on "Staying Competitive in a Knowledge-based Economy".

Michael earned his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) and Master's degree in Engineering Management from New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Michael is an Asian pioneer in Six Sigma Champion/Black/Green Belt training programs. He has developed a full range of proprietary Six Sigma methodologies in English and Chinese. He has trademarked the Six Sigma Mind and Offensive & Defensive Six Sigma. He has also developed software on Advanced Six Sigma Problem Solving Tools. As an experienced Offensive & Defensive Six Sigma expert, he has taught over 780 engineers and managers in Design of Experiments, Taguchi Techniques and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

Michael is a Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Reliability Engineer by the American Society for Quality. He was appointed by the Productivity and Standards Board (PSB) as an official SQA Assessor for three consecutive years: 97, 98 and 99. PSB also engaged him to develop and teach the ISO 9000 and Singapore Quality Award courses for their Advanced Diploma in Quality Management.

A few years ago, Michael led a team to America for a month working attachment with the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award winning companies (Marlow, AT&T, Texas Instrument, 3M, Honeywell, GTE, Ritz-Carlton Hotel). There he gained the precious knowledge on how the Six Sigma best practices were used to achieve lowest total cost and organisational excellence.
